If you’re in town this week, you’re just on time to catch the end of one of Montreal’s biggest and most famous festivals, Just For Laughs, easily recognizable thanks to the little green devil mascot that serves as its logo. Held yearly in the city since 1983, it’s the largest comedy festival in the world and is dedicated to celebrating humor in all of its forms, bringing together hundreds of big names in the world of comedy. If you already have your tickets to a stand up comedy show, you have a leg up on many of the festival-goers, who simply like to enjoy the amazing infrastructure created in the Quartier des Spectacles and come to enjoy all the free events and activities the festival has to offer. Free concerts, parades, street art, a carnival atmosphere, a carousel and Ferris wheel and much, much more.

This year’s Just For Laughs ends on August 1, and until then, come join thousands of locals to enjoy a colorful and amusing experience in downtown Montreal. Find out more about their shows and events on the website.
