The weather is getting chilly and the days are getting shorter, but what better way to kick off the colder months than by indulging in Montreal’s vibrant food and drink culture with 4 exciting epicurean events. Here’s a peek at what’s coming up this month.

  1. MTL à Table

The 6th edition of MTL à Table kicks off this Thursday. For the next two weeks, 175 participating restaurants will be offering table d’hôte menus priced at $21, $31, or $41, and some will also be offering a $15 brunch. Don’t miss this unique opportunity to celebrate Montreal’s amazing food culture and sample some of the city’s best cuisine.

2. La Grande Dégustation de Montréal

If tasting some of the city’s most fabulous food at MTL à Table isn’t enough, La Grande Dégustation de Montréal brings 200 wine producers, distillers and brewers for three days of wine, beer, and spirits tasting at Place Bonaventure November 2nd -Nov. 4th. This three-day event offers an opportunity to meet producers from all around the world, on top of offering an incomparable tasting experience.


3. Montreal Vegan Festival

For the fourth year in a row, thousands of vegan foodies, local and international speakers, and environmentalists will come together in a joyful, 2-day celebration of vegan food and culture at Bonsecours market Nov. 4th & 5th. The days will be chock-full of presentations, round tables, culinary demonstrations, vegan tastings, and best of all? Entrance to the festival including the exhibition, culinary demos and conferences is completely free!


4. Restaurant Day

If you haven’t yet experienced a “Restaurant Day”, Montreal is definitely the city to try it. This international food carnival occurs in cities around the world, and offers local residents the chance to open up their dream restaurant for one day. Find these pop-up restaurants in homes, alleyways, street corners, and all kinds of eclectic locales. The menus, locations, and themes offer a wild variety and a rare opportunity to catch a glimpse into Montreal’s ethnic diversity, bohemian gourmet appetites, and the hearts and homes of local Montrealers.
